FADS Costs
FADS is not a business and FADS has no money. The FADS Web Site is simply a free marketing tool for farms that want to hold FADS shows. Farms are only responsible for FADS ribbons costs.
Costs Paid by FADS Webmare to Run FADS:
Domain Name: $23 per year (2025)
Web Site Hosting: $144 / year (2025)
Email Service: $100 if under 2500 participants (2025)
Forms Program: $350 (2025)
————————————————–
TOTAL ANNUAL COST: $617
These costs will change for 2026 as the domain name, host, and forms program will be changing.
FADS Farms are not responsible for these costs. The FADS Webmare (Leslie Raulin) covers these costs as her contribution to the local dressage community.
The FADS webmare (Leslie Raulin) does not make any money by running FADS.
Costs Paid by FADS Farms:
FADS Show Ribbons (Optional): This is an optional service and fee. If a FADS Farm wants to use FADS show ribbons, they are ordered through the FADS Webmare. Recent cost is $3.20 per ribbon (2025, subject to change), which is the actual cost of the ribbons (FADS does not make a profit). For example, if a show had 50 completed rides, the cost for show ribbons would be $160.
FADS Season-End Awards Ribbons (Required): This is a required fee. At the end of each FADS show season (March – October), season-end award ribbons are provided to riders/horses with the highest mean scores in a division/level. FADS Farms reimburse the FADS Webmaster for the actual cost of the ribbons, including tax and postage (FADS does not make a profit). The cost for each farm is based on the total number of completed rides at the farm during the show season. Recent cost is $0.69 per completed ride (2024, subject to change). For example, a farm with 132 completed rides over three shows paid $91.08 for season-end ribbons.
