Phone Fanny Pack

Today’s smartphones are indispensable.  They are particularly indispensable for riders that may face an emergency for which contacting 911 or other assistance is needed.  Except for shows and perhaps clinics, I think all riders should carry their phone on their bodies (not on the horse, who could run off with the phone!). 

Through experimentation with many products, I have settled on a slim fanny pack that I like. It is comfortable has space for a phone, identification documents, and keys. It can also accommodate a riding communication system.

HOW I USE THE FANNY PACK:

  • Available in three colors: black ($12.99), dark blue ($11.99) and gray ($11.99); I bought the black.
  • Has two front pockets and one back pocket. I use the front pockets for my phone and “business” card. I use the back pocket for keys to my house and barn.
  • I wear the fanny pack all the time, even in my house so my phone is always with me in case I need it for an emergency.

I have been using this style of fanny pack for about eight years and plan to do so for many years to come.
