My 60m x 20m indoor arena has a sound system that I put together using parts ordered from Amazon.com. I am not a sound engineer; therefore, an expert may question my approach. However, it works! The parts cost $1,309.08 as of March 7, 2017, exclusive of labor to install ceiling height speakers and thread the speaker wires to the sound system equipment.
I use the system to listen to music while I ride. Trainers use the microphone on the system so students and auditors can hear instruction. Because there is a mixer, musical freestyle music can be played simultaneously with trainer instruction via the microphone.
I have connections for a microphone, CD, 30pin iPhone/iPod, and lightening iPhone/iPod. If the connections do not work with a smartphone, I put the microphone adjacent to the phone.
Click here to download a PDF file that has a list of parts, a diagram for connections, and details and links for each item.
Enjoy!
