
Dressage in the United States has rules governed by US Equestrian (USEF). Although the rules are written for USEF licensed / USDF recognized shows, most schooling shows follow the rules (although there are exceptions – if you have a question, ask the show manager or secretary). Dressage riders should be familiar with the rules.

USEF has General Rules (GR) that apply to all equestrian sports that fall under the USEF; USEF also has Dressage Rules (DR) that are specific to dressage. The links below will get you to these rules:
